| The
fees for our grant writing services vary due to
the level of complexity and the amount of time we
have to complete a project. Fees are never based
on the amount being requested, because we do not
work for contingent fees. |
Unfortunately,
we are unable to make that guarantee. Due to the
highly competitive nature of the grant world and
many other variables, we have found that it is
impossible to guarantee funding. However, our
group will not accept a project without completing
the following steps. First, research similar organizations
and determine their sources of funding; second,
assess what funds are available in the geographic
area; and third, research what funders are focusing
on the services that are provided by the organization.

Our
group stays abreast of all funding areas and only
accepts projects based upon eligibility. Due to
the competitive nature of the grant world, the
variety of public and nonprofit organizations
we work with, and that often our clients do not
inform us when they are funded, we have found
it extremely difficult to calculate an accurate
“success” rate.
However,
we do provide client testimonials
that prove our products and methods are effective
in receiving funding.

Business Services Group specializes in funding
available at all levels of government including
sources available at the individual, nonprofit,
and for-profit levels. Although there is a stigma
that grants are only available to nonprofit
501(c)3 organizations, many people are unaware
of funding
avenues and opportunities that are available
in their local area.

Our
group does not work on a commission due to the following
reasons.

Association of Fundraising Professionals has
as one of its statements of ethical principles
that members shall not accept compensation that
is based on a percentage of charitable contributions.

Generally
most funders do not accept the costs or fees
for grant preparation to be paid for from
a grant unless directly specified in the instructions.

More organizations are applying for grant
funds making the process much more competitive
and we cannot guarantee funding, only
eligibility.

Grant
writing is a highly specialized field
that takes the skills of an exceptional
writer to complete a competitive application,
work under deadline pressure, and to
have an understanding of the requirements
requested by the funding source. Additionally,
grant applications range in complexity
and can be extremely time-consuming.
Due to these factors, savvy organizations
can continue to focus on their core
competencies by outstanding their grant
